The books collected in BCC's March book drive were delivered to the Harry M. Caudill Memorial Library in Whitesburg on March 27 for distribution to the Fleming Neon Public Library and others in the Letcher County library system. The Fleming Neon Library sustained heavy damage due to the widespread flooding in eastern Kentucky in July 2022, and the Blackey and Harry M. Caudill libraries also were damaged. A project of the BCC book club, the book drive collected approximately 600 books from members, our friends at Kentucky Monthly magazine, and friends Steve and Kembra Taylor of Lexington. Thanks to everyone who shared the blessing of literacy!
