Vocal Music ProgramssHollis playing organ
Our adult Chancel Choir enriches our worship experience each Sunday Morning. Under the direction of Hollis Rosenstein, Music Director, and Cindy Elrod, choir conductor, this group shares their talents to both prepare us for, and lead us in, worship every week. The group, which has 40+ members, rehearses each Sunday evening at 6:30p.m.

A special gift this choir shares with both the church and the community is their annual Christmas musical program. This popular event is offered on two evenings each Advent season. The program is divided into two sections, one with beautiful sacred musical selections, and the second portion, which includes secular entertainment, sometimes including skits as well as musical numbers. The choir and it's directors work very hard on this offering, and it is truly a labor of love.

ChoirIn addition to our Adult choir, BCC also offers music opportunities for children. Each Sunday afternoon (during the school year), as a regular part of the scheduled Youth and Children's groups, Hollis Rosenstein and Diane Dominick teach each age group from preschool through Chi Rho. These groups share on occasion in our Sunday morning worship services and their own special music programs.  Children's music is also a large portion of our Vacation Bible School program each summer.

Handbell Ministries
The BCC Music Program received a donation in memory of Omar Marshall for the purchase of a 3 octave set of Malmark  handbells. These beautiful bells were dedicated in May 2002.  Thanks to the generosity of the Marshall family, we now have 2 active handbell choirs, one for adults and another for youth. A fourth octave of handbells was added in 2003 in memory of Jim Thurman and Keller Thornton.

Mike and Hollis Rosenstein have given a 2 octave set of Malmark choirchimes, in memory of Mary Shannon. The current handbell choirs use them on occasion  and plans are being made for the formation of at least one choirchime group. The Bridgeport handbell choirs are directed by Cindy Elrod.

Both handbell choirs are always open to new members.  The Bridgeport Ringers practice at 5:30 p.m. each Wednesday and the youth bells practice on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.

The Jubilee SingersJubilee Singers
The Jubilee Singers have been singing together for fifteen  years.  In March 1992, Hollis Rosenstein, our Minister of Music at Bridgeport Christian Church, asked if there were a few women who would be interested in singing in an ensemble. Seven women stepped forward and haven't looked back. Under the capable direction of Mrs. Rosenstein, the Jubilee Singers have been privileged to perform for the Governor's Prayer Breakfast, the Afternoon Show on Channel 27, numerous church benefits and countless other engagements and fund raisers.  Their primary focus is to sing for nursing homes, banquets and churches.

Members of the group include: Hollis Rosenstein, Director and accompanist; Bonnie Hayden and Becky Ramsey carrying the soprano load; Diane Dominick and Cheryl Gayhart singing alto to second soprano; Cathy Cardwell and Annette Hayden on tenor and Kaye Triplett on Bass (really!).

Should you be interested in booking this group, please contact Hollis Rosenstein at the church, (502) 223-1165 or email Hollis Rosenstein.
