Our church structure provides for our Administrative Board to oversee the business of the church. This board
includes all the Committee Chairs and meets monthly at 7:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month. These meetings are open to all.

Finance & Stewardship Committee
The Finance Committee oversees the financial affairs of the church, including
assembling budgets to be submitted to the board and congregation for
final approval. They also function as our Nominating body, recruiting new
chairpersons for committees as needed.
Worship Committee
The Worship Committee, along with our Senior Minister and Music Director, plan
our worship services, including special events. If there is special
preparation needed or additional participants to be recruited, they also take
on that responsibility. They also work with the minister if any concerns
arise about the worship service and help implement any changes needed.
Members of the committee also collect the "Who's Who in the Pews"

Education Committee
The Education Committee
promotes the
discipleship of our congregation by providing opportunities for the membership
to grow in knowledge and love of God and of our savior Jesus Christ and how that

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee works to provide our membership with information that
makes them feel at home; to schedule activities to strengthen their
relationship with Christ and become better acquainted with other members of our

Evangelism Committee
The Evangelism Committee is striving to find new ways to bring
people to Bridgeport Christian Church.
Missions and Outreach Committee The Missions and Outreach
Committee provides assistance mainly to those who need help in our community,
but also, if we are able, to disasters world-wide. This assistance includes
helping with utility bills, groceries, medications and housing. We work with
service organizations such as Red Cross, Salvation Army, ROSM, Franklin County
Food Pantry, Soup Kitchen and Homeless Shelter for Men, and Habitat for
Humanity. A certain percentage of the church's weekly offering goes to Basic Mission
Finance which is used by the National and International Missions Program of the
Disciples of Christ in Indianapolis,

Property Committee
The property committee oversees the maintenance and repairs
of the church's buildings and grounds, including the parsonage. They also
maintain the church vans. They provide parking assistance at special
events. Each year they are responsible for writing a budget for their
committee. An ongoing duty of the property committee is to plan for the
church's physical growth and expansion.
